Unexpected Treats at Work/Bento Lunch 09.30.08

Bonus day at work today. Things started out with a cupcake delivery to my desk. A co-worker got the baking bug on Sunday night and thought I'd enjoy one the fruits of her labor. Mmmmm. Cuuuuppppcaaakkkeee.

And that was followed up later in the day with my first Honeycrisp apple of the season, courtesy of my manager. It was good. So very good. So good infact that I almost forgot that we're at the end of the summer fruit and vegetable season.



And now I present to you Tuesday's Bento with Minnesota Twins accoutrement:



I don't know what you have planned for Tuesday night, but at 6:30pm, I'll be glued to the tv, Homer Hanky waving.

09.29.08 Lunch

The Milwaukee Brewers aka the Brew Crew are going to the play-offs for the first time since 1982! Woo Hoo! My fellow Minnesotans can rest assured there will be a little MN Twins action in tomorrow's bento if when the White Sox lose to Detroit. But for today, my Wisconsin-bred heart is jumping with joy for the Brew Crew.

Note to the bento folks in the crowd - the silicon muffin cups in the upper tier of the photo were found yesterday in the dollar spot (Or See Spot Save Spot or whatever they're calling it now) at Target. 6 cups in yellow or turquoise for $1.
